The Global Student Challenge is so much more than just an international student competition! It offers students the chance to gain valuable knowledge and further develop their soft and hard skills that they learned during their curriculum course.
Ultimately, what we aim to achieve with the Global Student Challenge is to help students expand their professional network which might open new doors for them and their future.

The Challenge, now in its 11th edition, pits teams from top business schools and universities from across the globe against each other in the search for the world’s Top Talent in Supply Chain Management, - Finance, and circular economy.
The final will be an intense competition among the top value chain students around the world. Unexpected turns of events will make the battle fierce as teams compete for the coveted Global Champion title and prizes!
Participation Criteria for Students
- The participation criteria:
Teams must consist of 4 higher education students.- Participating students should be full-time or part-time students at bachelor or master level, during the school year 2024/2025.
- Teams that qualify for the Global Final cannot contain students that participated in a Global Final previously.
- The global challenge is open to students that have experienced The Fresh Connection, The Cool Connection, The Blue Connection or The Triple Connection in a course, or participated in a local competition, hosted by an educator, who has been certified by Inchainge.
- Open to the students who participated in a local student competition with one of our business games. Want to participate but don’t have our business games in your curriculum? Talk to your teacher about organizing an Inchainge Student Competition at your university!
- Important note: Students are not allowed to sign up or participate in a ‘Train the Trainer’ or any other type of workshop, exclusively for educators organized by Inchainge or partner network. Doing so will automatically disqualify this student from participating in the competition.
Business Games
Since we are dealing with time zones from California to South Korea we are limited in the timeframe that everyone can be online during reasonable hours. Therefore, the Global Final Week for this edition will only include The Fresh Connection.
However, students who have experienced The Cool Connection, The Blue Connection or The Triple Connection can also enter the competition.
Participants get to run their own virtual company called The Fresh Connection, a manufacturer of fruit juices. Faced with declining performance, the management team must get the company back on track as quickly as possible. It is a high-pressure environment in which effective supply chain management is the key to success!
Teams will experience the impact of every decision they make, not just in their own functional ‘silo’ but across their business, and the entire value chain! Each team member will each assume an executive roll: VP Finance, VP Purchasing, VP Supply Chain, or VP Sales.

In some exceptional cases qualification is organized locally in certain countries. Unless this is announced by your professor, this is not the case for your course.

The Global Qualification Round 2025
The top 10% of each course is invited to participate. The best performing student teams during the curriculum course are automatically invited. The top teams receive information in the game on how to join the Global Qualification Round. This is an online event and the top teams are guaranteed a spot in the Global Online Final.

Since 2018, the competition is only open to students that have experienced The Fresh Connection, The Cool Connection, The Blue Connection, or The Triple Connection in a course, hosted by an educator, who has been certified by Inchainge.

The Global Student Challenge (GSC) 2024 has come to an end, and what a week! With 50 teams consisting of 211 students from 43 universities from all over the world battling for the champion title and cash prizes. These best supply chain students competed with the world’s leading supply chain business game, The Fresh Connection.
